Brush Combined Trainings (BAT, BAT-HV, BAT-D) (2.5 hour) - Live Distance Learning
This 2 ½ hour session provides the basic training and education for the Brush Oral Health Curricula and resources, along with an additional section of training allowing members of your team to become Brush Oral Health Curriculum trainers for your organization. Participants will learn how to utilize the Brush resources in practice with classrooms and caregivers. Participants will have specific instruction on the best usage of the curriculum materials, along with additional resources, so they feel equipped to train other members of your team.
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be able to:
Extent of the problem of dental decay
The importance of primary teeth
How oral health relates to nutritional health and overall health
Signs of dental decay and how to prevent decay
Impact of oral health on children with disabilities
How to use the BRUSH resources in practice
This combined session is appropriate for organizations who have not had previous Brush training or if training has been longer than 3 years prior. This session is taught live, in-person (within 150 miles of McMillen Health). If you are outside of the 150 mile range, please contact info@brushdental.org for a training quote.
