Brush is committed to promoting oral health in primary care settings! We offer professional development training on the importance of oral health and training on integrating “lift the lip” exams and applying flouride varnish. Our parent resources include a line of oral health handouts which tie into the schedule of well baby/well child visits and original children’s books on oral health. We also offer curriculum and training for nurses and home visitors.
A two-hour Brush training is available for early childhood educators, home visitors and professional staff. During this interactive training, participants learn about the state of pediatric decay in the US; how primary teeth relate to a child’s growth and development; how oral health affects school success; how to identify and prevent decay; how nutrition relates to decay; and how to use the Brush curriculum and parent materials. A 4-hour Brush Train the Trainer is also available for those who wish to be able to present the 2-hour Brush training to staff in their center or organization.
