Children who have healthy teeth are healthier in general and are more likely to start Kindergarten ready to learn. A bright smile also helps children to make friends and to feel good about themselves. Brush! videos can help parents and children learn how to take care of their mouths!
All Brush! parent materials, brushing charts, I Brush! My Teeth book, and DVD are available in both English and Spanish.
A two-hour Brush! training is available for early childhood educators, home visitors and professional staff. During this interactive training, participants learn about the state of pediatric decay in the US; how primary teeth relate to a child’s growth and development; how oral health affects school success; how to identify and prevent decay; how nutrition relates to decay; and how to use the Brush! curriculum and parent materials. A 4-hour Brush! Train the Trainer is also available for those who wish to be able to present the 2-hour Brush! training to staff in their center or organization.
“This material is new and fresh. It puts oral health into perspective and it will help us make an impact in our program. The two prong approach of parents and educators makes so much sense.”
– Teresa, MFCS Head Start, Florida
“This was an awesome training. The research really helped to understand the expectation. Holli was smart and funny.”
– Law Academy, GSRP, Michigan
“I found the curriculum, the collateral materials and the training to be authentic, engaging and first class. It was also a real breath of fresh air (in a world where we often identify and lament the problem – but offer no solution). Every aspect of this program is top drawer!”
– Kathleen, Everybody Ready, Michigan
